  • 17A
    • Technical Reviews
      • GBT. ToneyMinter reports that the GBT technical reviews are going okay.
      • VLA/VLBA. MarkClaussen reports that the VLA/VLBA technical reviews are going okay as far as he can tell. BryanButler noted two things: (1) There were two VLA proposals over the last year that were very short (< 1 hr) and requested multi-frequency observations. Thus they underestimated the integration time. These were caught by the data analysts. There could be more of these for proposals that are not technically reviewed (< 20hr) that are not trapped. (2) Many VLA proposals do not get the overhead correct and this is a concern. The plan is for folks in Socorro to discuss how to improve users' estimate of overhead and then we will discuss this for 17B in a TTA meeting.
    • Science Reviews. There appear to be a sufficient number of reviewers for the Large proposals. There are a few Regular proposals with only two reviewers and one proposal with only one reviewer. For the proposal with one reviewer we have recruited two reviewers from another panel to review the proposal offline.
    • SRP Telecons. JessicaUtley reported that the SRP telecon schedule is set and we have both moderators and technical support people in place.
    • PHT Status. GustaafVanMoorsel commented on some of the tickets in the list. RickLively worked on a few minor issues. He will have more time in September if all goes well with the new AAT release. Top priority is fixing the csv files. BarryClark has released changes to the VLA Prioritizer to webtest for testing.

  • AOB
    • User's Committee. TimBastian is working on responding to comments about PST Sessions and the VLA Prioritizer this week. It was agreed that we should have two meeting to discuss the VLA Prioritizer and PST Sessions, respectively. There was some concern that work on the PST was being started without review of the requirements. DanaBalser will investigate and coordinate both meetings.
    • WVU. ToneyMinter noted that WVU is intent on signing a new contract soon and that the deadline for 16B/17A will be 16 September 2016.
