  • 18A
    • Science Reviews. DanaBalser reported that there are several SRP members who still have not declared their conflicts. The SRP chairs of ETP and AGN, which have supplemental reviewers, have sent out their assignments which is important since SRP members will not be be reviewing all proposals. There were issues with two proposals in the HIZ SRP whereby there were not enough reviewers (only 2 on a Regular proposal and 3 on a Large proposal). Conflicts were relaxed and reviewers were recruited from other panels to increase the number of reviewers. BarryClark and MarkClaussen noted that there is a Triggered Joint Chandra proposal. It was not clear if this is allowed or will be accepted by Chandra. The Chandra technical review should inform us but DanaBalser will proactively point this out to the Chandra folks.
    • Technical Reviews. MarkClaussen and ToneyMinter report not major issues with the technical reviews. Hard to gauge progress since many folks generate the reviews offline and then upload them into the PST.
    • Source Conflicts. BarryClark has already provided the list of source conflicts for the VLA/VLBA.
    • SRP Telecon Schedule. DanaBalser reported for JessicaUtley that the SRP telecon dates have now been decided. She will send around the detailed scheduled later. There are three SRPs that will spill into the following week (18-21 September) with the ETP SRP on the last day. MarkClaussen, AmyMioduszewski, and DanaBalser will be the technical contact during the telecons. LewisBall will update the slides on Gender, if necessary, which will be briefly discussed at the start of the first telecon.
    • PHT Software Requirements. RickLively has started on the first few items on the list that BarryClark generated. BarryClark, MarkClaussen, and AmyMioduszewski will briefly meet by the end of the week to go over the prioritized lists to make sure this is reasonable.
  • 18B
    • SRP/TAC Recruitment. LewisBall discussed plans for recruitment in 18B. We should start recruiting now so that we give prospective reviewers more time to plan their schedules. The plan is to have at least three recruiters. He has two people now and is waiting for a third to respond by the end of the week. It would be good to converge on changes to the review process in18B and to discuss this with the TAC before we start recruiting, but this is not essential and it is better to get started sooner than later. ToneyMinter suggested we send our proposal to TAC members before the TAC meeting.
  • AOB
    • No TTA meeting next week (24 August).
    • NED/SIMBAD Source Import. LorantSjouwerman submitted a JIRA ticket about the PST source import. A user felt the source coordinates were incorrect when using the NED/SIMBAD source import button. The PST first attempts to import the source coordinates using NED and if that fails tries SIMBAD. The two coordinates in this case where different. We briefly discussed how this should behave. Both source positions shown and allow the user to choose; allow the users to select the service; better inform the user how the button behaves. We will discuss this further during our 18B PST software requirements meeting.
