  • 16A
    • TAC Large Proposal Telecon. This will be held 9 October (Friday) from 10am-1pm EDT. Most of the material has been sent to the TAC. The status reports from current large proposals will be sent soon. Three TAC members will not be able to attend but there are only two proposals from their respective SRPs. We have feedback via email from two of the absent TAC members to share at the telecon.
    • TAC F2F Communications Test. Three TAC members will be connecting remotely. Two have Polycom systems where they should be able to view both the images being displayed on the screen and the room. The other will dial in via phone and use WebEx to view the material on the screen. MarkClaussen has performed one test with one TAC member, but this requires additional tests. He is waiting to hear back from the other two TAC members. We will ping two at the Large Proposal Telecon and DanaBalser will send email to the remaining member who will not be attending the telecon.

  • 16B
    • CfP date: Since MarkAdams will be pretty busy on 4 January 2015 (Monday) we decided to change the date to 5 January 2016 (Tuesday). There was some discussion of moving it to December but there may be support issues between Christmas and New Years and any earlier is too soon.
    • PST Priorities, Continue. DavidFrayer continued going through the list of JIRA tickets for 16A. We made it through the list of critical and major items. We should be able to complete all of the critical items and at least some of the major items. As an action item we should all go through the minor items to see if any should be elevated in priority. Some details:
      • Telescope Resources: The telescope resource items should now all be included. There were several GBT improvements tickets. Updating the receiver frequencies requires a database change and is a pain to test, so we may not get to this ticket. We should be able to compete the minor VEGAS updates. Fixing the handful of VEGAS bugs will be more effort but we keep this as a major priority and we will complete as many as possible.
      • User Account: We agreed to keep several of the users account tickets as critical. GarethHunt has suggested possible solutions to some of the tickets and we should be able to make some progress.
      • VLA Sub-arrays: There was some discussion on how to deal with VLA sub-arrays. In the past we attempted to implement these on the Sessions page but it was complicated and confusing. A few semesters ago we decided to remove this functionality and just put a check box on the General page indicating the proposal is using sub-arrays, and have the proposer include any relevant info in the technical justification. The problem is that the proposer will often get the total time wrong. MarkClaussen will look in the PST documentation.
