Proposal Tickets. LorantSjouwerman reported that the number of PST tickets has been low over the past week. There was one issue (via email) of a bogus validation error message. In the past we had instances where true validation errors would trigger a false validation error. If the true errors are fixed the messages for the false errors go away. MarkClaussen and RickLively investiagated the present issue and discovered that while the message appeared to be an error (red color), it was really a warning (yellow error). The user was therefore able to submit the proposal. There may be a fix for the current issue but given the complexity of the code we agreed to move this to 22A. RickLively reported a known problem with the PST/PBT for VLA proposals. When we removed the "user present" field this caused a problem when importing data from the PST database to the PBT. The workaround is to fix this manually in the database. This only effects proposals submitted after the 21B CfP release. So this does not effect the 21A proposals. Nevertheless we need to fix this problem in the near future.
Account Tickets. AnandCrossley reported that he is caught up on these tickets. We have received slightly more account tickets than usual, mostly institutional. HeidiMedlin noted that there are still some Account tickets in the recycle bin.
PST/PHT Review Tickets Status. RickLively reported that he has released SSA-6776 (disposition letters) for testing and plans to release SSA-4961 (export review type), SSA-6778 (subarray), and maybe SSA-5381 (science category in sponsored) tomorrow (Friday). He then plans to start working on SSA-1987 (MOTD) and the PHT tickets.
Scheduling Priority C Minus. We continued our discussion of using priority C minus. A proposal with a C minus priority will not get on before a priority C (everything else being equal). We seldom assing C minus and typically only for DDT proposals (but we have done this for Regular GBT proposals since the linear-rank is not used in the scheduling algoithm). The utility of C minus priorities is to fill in potential low pressure regions while at the same time not pushing out previously approved priority C proposals. There was some disagreement about the need for priority C minus and how often they get time. We decided not to formalize the C minus priority but to inform the PI in the disposition letter that they will not push out current priority C proposals.
GOST-->RCT. No discussion.
GST Calculator:EmmanuelMomjian suggested we have a discussion in the near future about the GST calculator. The user can select a large Session length but in such cases the calculator does not check if sources are above the horizon. It is not entirely clear what the calculation should do but this will be an issue for the new TTA tools. DanaBalser will add this to the agenda in future meetings.
Pending Tickets:LorantSjouwerman noted that there are still two pending tickets (below) that should be addressed. MarkClaussen will have a look.
