  • New Member. RickLively introduced CharlotteHausman. She will be talking over some of his management duties.
  • 22B
    • CfPs and PST Release. DanaBalser reported that the calls went out on Tuesday. Some issues due to the power outages in CV but otherwise things went okay. ToneyMinter noticed that the PST dashboard has the wrong URL to the proposing guide for the GBT. RickLively will fix this during a downtime within the next week; this requires a PST release.
    • PST/PHT Review Items. RickLively reported that the development for this will start next week. He has, however, released a fix from BarryClark for the incorrect source declinations in the PHT to webtest. This is not an error in the PHT database but an error on the import from the PST. So this will not fix past proposals. LorantSjouwerman noted that the epic JIRA ticket is SSA-7193. LorantSjouwerman will work with AllieCosta to produce the 23A software timeline.
    • SRP/TAC Recruitment. MarkClaussen reported that all vacancies have been filled except for one in the NGA SRP. BrianMason has one invitation out to a person who volunteered and has contacted several NRAO people to cover this vacancy as a backup plan.
  • TAC Feedback on AGN SRP. DanaBalser reported that the TAC felt we should have parallel panels and not divide AGN into HLA/LLA. We discussed how best to proceed at some length. There are three major reasons why we should split the AGN SRP into HLA/LLA instead of parallel AGN SRPs. (1) Splitting AGN into two parallel SRPs will require more software effort and is also risky to do in the PST. We have not done this before but have sucessfully created two new SRPs with no issues. (2) Before 2005 we did have two separate AGN panels similar to HLA and LLA and this worked okay. (3) Vetting the science categories could be harder for the parallel panels. One advantage for having parallel AGN SRPs is that we could better manage proposals with many conflicts; that is, we have two AGN SRPs and could move proposals. This is not easy to do with the current PST, however, and we plan to implement dual-anonymous with the TTA Tools and so conflicts will not be a big issue. We agreed that we should keep with our current proposal. DanaBalser will confirm with the Director since this is a policy decision and communcate with the TAC. We need to get confirmation by the end of March (this is when requirements will be due). ToneyMinter noted that there will be four significant GBT items in 23A: (1) new X-band receiver; (2) new ultra-wide band recevier; (3) new VEGAS modes for the ultra-wide band receiver; and (4) new VEGAS baseband mode for pulsars.
  • AOB
    • TTA Tools Update: LorantSjouwerman noted that we have not had a TTAT status update in a while and also questioned how the project will move forward given changes in management. DanaBalser will schedule an update.
