  • VLBA/GMVA Technical Justification. RobertMinchin noted that the JIVE "planobs" tool used for VLBA and GMVA sensitivity calculations was recently replaced with a beta version that does not yet work correctly and that seems unlikely to be working in time for the call. He created a JIRA ticket to update text in the PST to point people to the old EVN sensitivity calculator. JimSheckard said this would probably be doable.
  • Timeline. We have converged on the timeline. DanaBalser has sent this to the TAC for feedback.
  • Pre-announcement. AmyMioduszewski and YlvaPihlstrom will add an item about additional time for the VLA since VLASS is done. Once we converge on the text, DanaBalser will inform BrianKent. The plan is that once the eNews is sent tomorrow (Friday) morning, AllieCosta will update the Users' Policy Guide, and then later in the afternoon the pre-announcement will be sent.
  • CfPs. The CfPs text is mostly drafted. Please have a look for any issues. We need to finalize the text by COB on Monday, 23 June 2025.
  • SRP Recruitment. Main.Allie Costa reported that we have 5 vacancies: 1 EGS, 1 LLA, 2 SSP, and 1 GWT.

  • PCO SRP: We briefly discussed recruiting people with experience with white dwarfs (cataclysmic variables) for PCO. We also considered the possibility of moving this to the SSP SRP, which is already a bit of a grab bag.
  • Observing Time Expense: HeidiMedlin noted a helpdesk request asking for estimates of observing time costs for mid-tenure reviews. This is not uncommon and we can provide this information upon request. YlvaPihlstrom is working on it.
