Transfer GBT Time to PST. AnandCrossley is out; we are waiting for the OK from him before we proceed.
Set Public Bit. As soon as we get all of the approved time moved to the PST RickLively will set the public bit. It is important to do this before the 21B CfPs.
Update Active Triggered/Large VLBA Proposals. MarkClaussen has not gotten to this yet, but he will get to this soon (especially the recent ones).
ENews Article. The article has been submitted and will be published in the next issue (17 December 2020).
CfPs. The deadline is 16 December 2020. TrishHenning and DanaBalser are working on the Introduction, News & Opportunity, and Joint Proposal sections. MarkClaussen has not done much on the VLBA but he has notes ready to go and will have this done before the deadline. EmmanuelMomjian will start on the VLA section next week and circulate to make sure we reflect new capabilities (e.g., eLWA as RSRO). He needs the plots from AmyMioduszewski. We need to remove Arecibo.
PST (my.nrao.edu) Shutdown. Negotiations continue and the target date is the middle of December. We will want to put a message in the PST. The time estimate is half a day. There are many people involved and RickLively picks up information second hand. He hopes to learn more today in a Green Bank meeting. There are two critical dates: OPT release (9 December 2020); and CDE which relies on the PST (15 December 2020). StephanWitz should be aware of these restrictions. Action Items: LorantSjouwerman will inform RickLively on the OPT date; we will discuss the ramifications of peoples' vacations; RickLively will do more legwork and try to get a hard date and inform the TTA group via email.
Java Update. We discussed updating the version of Java. This seems to be coming from IT. There needs to be a JIRA research request on the impact of the update; the analysis should take weeks. LorantSjouwerman noted that this ticket is currently a request for investigating what needs to be done. This has an impact on the schedule but has not filtered down to SSA; perhaps this will occur after the first of the year.
PST CfP Development. LorantSjouwerman has a list of items for 21B. We discussed the following outstanding items:
ECT: RickLively reported that the ECT looks okay. MarkClaussen has done some testing and the current version on webtest seems reasonable. The exposure times are close to the results calculated by hand and consistent with the XML table.
Arecibo: RickLively noted that the Arecibo ticket is new and he will start work on this early next week and get this done by Tuesday; he will keep MarkClaussen posted since this has implications for the VLBA. MarkClaussen suggest we gray out the selection for Arecibo and he will add comments about this in the CfPs. EmmanuelMomjian will remove Arecibo from the OSS and other places. We should check that Arecibo is removed from all documents and folks should do some spot checks.
GBT documentation. This may or may not be done.
PST/PHT Review Requirements. LorantSjouwerman summarized the list of items from DanaBalser, AmyMioduszewski, and AnandCrossley. He sees about 25 days of work; we need to have these prioritized by the end of next week. We need DanaBalser and AnandCrossley in the loop and they are out today. He will send around the URL. RickLively sent an email to LorantSjouwerman with some comments and some additional items. It is unlikely that development will start before 1 January 2021, but if he can get one or two tickets that we know will have high priority he can start on them first.
SRP/TAC Recruitment. TrishHenning reports that the TAC is set. For the SPR recruitment, BrianMason is making progress and has kept the Google doc up-to-date. MarkClaussen has invitations out, and for the AGN SRP he is planning to promote some supplementary reviewers (some success so far). AmyMioduszewski also has invitations out, and she has asked some SRP members to continue for another semesters. The recruitment is on target with a goal of completion by the CfPs.
