  • Director's Review. All materials have been uploaded to the secure wiki for the Director's Review on Friday, 2 May 2025.
  • TAC Comments to Chair for Review. AmyMioduszewski, RobertMinchin, and JayFrothingham will enter TAC comments into the PST by COB 6 May 2025 for the VLA, VLBA, and GBT, respectively. DanaBalser will inform the TAC chair to review these comments by COB 8 May 2025. The TAC chair should tell us which proposals have been modified.
  • TAC Report. The plan is to generate one TAC report for GBT, VLA, and VLBA. (We will do the same for the science program.)
  • Disposition Letters. The plan is to send the disposition letters out by 13 May 2025. RobertMinchin will make sure the disposition letters are ready for the VLBA by the end of the day on 9 May 2025; AmyMioduszewski will push the button to send out both the VLA and VLBA disposition letters.

  • SRP/TAC Recruitment. AllieCosta reported no changes from last week: 1 SRP chair and 10 SRP member vacancies need to be filled. AnthonyRemijan will work to find a new recruiter for HLA/LLA.

  • SSA Effort: We discussed the effort available in SSA for the proposal caps (11 days estimated effort) and special calls (21 days estimated effort). Since essentially all of this work will be done by JimSheckard, and his time is limited in the next SSA quarter, there are only a few days (at most) beyond the 2x10 day cutout for our 26A semester. The proposal cap work needs to be done by 30 July 2025, whereas the special call work needs to be done by about 1 December 2025. Clearly, we cannot do both the proposal caps and special calls in 26A, so we agreed to complete the proposal caps work in 26A and do as much as possible on the special call work. We will then lobby each SSA quarter for additional effort until the special calls work is done. In parallel we will need to find effort to help the schedulers manage the special calls. AmyMioduszewski will write down the required work and estimated effort based on past VLA special calls.
