EVLA The test machine was updated with the first version of the Observation Preparation Tool (OPT) that supports the OSRO modes for the new WIDAR correlator.
GBT Mustang: Back on the GBT.
K-band Focal Plane Array: Currently shaking down hardware with M&C software.
Patrick Brandt, Pam Ford, & John Ford went to SC09. They plan to give a lunch talk this Wednesday from 12pm to 1pm eastern (GB-Basement/CV230). See the contents of the talk at: SuperComputing09. Feel free to attend.
In depth GBT goings-ons for the last week can be found at: CommissioningMeeting09Dec04

VAO The IVOA interop workshop was held in early November in Garching. Side-meetings were held to discuss ObsTAP (data indexing) and SIAV2. The TAP (table access) interface is in the final RFC stage and should be stable soon to support prototyping and reference implementations (including by us).
A Splatalogue/SLAP workshop was held in CV last week and went well. A SLAP interface to Splatalogue was nearly conpleted and should be available soon. Ray Plante was in CV for the Splatalogue workshop and gave a VO lunch talk which was well attended and received. Doug Tody also participated in the Splatalogue workshop, and remains in CV part of this week for NRAO VAO planning discussions.
VLBA
Web safe.nrao.edu reinstalled, LaTeXmode and MathMode plugins now work again. So does ImagePlugin.
Tangent: Network "perimeter review" found some "new" web servers - notify webadmin before deploying new ones!
dharma (vmware guest) to zpm (real h/w) for test web server in CV complete. FOSWiki, kayako, (plone) work there continues.

CASA Bug fixes for the last problems found in release 3.0 were submitted. They will be tested in the next week. If they are successful, the release will go ahead as scheduled on 01 Dec 2009. The cabal also required that 3.0 run on Mac OS/X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). This should also be finished by the release date.
A System Architect will be appointed in the next week or so.

GBT Dynamic Scheduling: Slowly adding functionality for the scheduler; we're finally back up to critical mass following family issues and sickness. Looking into scheduling algorithm weirdness. No viable candidates for open position.
Mustang: Off the telescope due to vibration issues; old gasket suspected. Supposed to go back up this Wednesday.
K-band Focal Plane Array: Testing of the M&C monitoring has begun.
W-Band FPA front end meeting with CDL team members to discuss issues and trade-offs related to front end design.
Patrick Brandt, Pam Ford, & John Ford are at SC09 this week.
In depth GBT goings-ons for the last week can be found at: CommissioningMeeting09Nov13
Guppi "Guppi on a ROACH" will be demoed at the NRAO booth in SC09.

Algorithms EricFeigelson and JogeshBabu (Penn State) visited NM (22-23 Oct) to discuss cube analysis with various staff members and groups. This is in preparation for the submission of a grant proposal. In addition to the post-processing analysis of data cubes (ra-dec-freq), they are also interested in RFI excision techniques (time-bl-freq)

VAO A face-to-face meeting between VAO/AUI/AURA management and the NSF finally occurred (21 Oct). No contract or award yet, but this seems to break the previous logjam.
IVOA interop is next week in Garching; furious preparations underway
New effort underway in IVOA on archive metadata and discovery queries (ObsTAP). Two hour telecon held Nov 2 (this morning).
Second draft of minutes of ALMA/VAO discussions at ADASS being reviewed. Also a start on HLA, interface between high level s/w and a telescope archive.
Splatalogue workshop planned for CV in early Dec (including VO SLAP interface). Will probably have some VAO planning discussions in connection with this.
VLBA US VLBI meeting in Haystack this week (2-4 Nov) will discuss progress towards upgrading samplers, receivers, and the on-line station software on the VLBA, plus coordination with other VLBI networks in NA and the rest of the world.

GBT Nothing big.
ALMA Preparing for ALMA R7 release. Several bugs in Chile were squashed (correlator platforming, occasional archiving failures, LO2 runaway). Real ALMA data (single dish) was run through the ALMA pipeline heuristics scripts for the first time with good results.

Interactive Services The proposal submission process went relatively smoothly. We received 252 proposals (139 EVLA; 73 GBT; 40 VLBA/HSA). Given the development and deployment of the EVLA OPT and GBT DSS it has become clear that we need better coordination concerning the user database and CAS.
