Full interoperability/scripting under casapy

We have yet to find a way of truly integrating the viewer with casapy and the framework, so that it could, e.g. be scripted from there, be sent arrays to display from casapy, make use of casapy tools, send information (such as regions) for casapy processing -- all without freezing casapy while the viewer is running. This probably involves running in a separate process (or at least a separate thread), as it did under the old glish component framework.

It can probably be done, but will entail a fair amount of work; how much is still unclear.
