Split Improvements

CASA Modification Request 23C108, November 2007

1. Introduction

Once the data are calibrated, it is often useful to split out relevant parts of the data for additional imaging and processing. The task split which does this needs some more work.

2. Background

3. Requirements

The split task must be able to average data in time and in channel in order to obtain secondary data bases which are as small as possible. These features are not yet robust in the split

4. Design

Done ...please try it out

5. Deployment Checklist

6. Test Plan

6.1 Internal Testing

6.2 Sponsor Testing
