Plan

Get CASA 4.2.0 trunk building on a Fedora 17 system as quickly as possible. Issues are most likely to caused by missing or obsolete rpms.

  • Start with rpms from Fedora repositories. Fill in missing rpms as necessary from other repositories as necessary. As a last resort, build additional rpms.
  • Collected required rpms into a new yum repository on casa.nrao.edu.
  • Create a meta rpm to support setting up a CASA Fedora 17 build computer with one yum command to install one meta rpm.

Use these results to feed requirements into the project Build a CASA 3rd Party Package Deployment Pipeline.

Deliverables

As part of this project, we shall deliver

  • A list of rpms required.
  • Instructions for installing these rpms to setup a CASA Fedora 17 build computer.

Requirements

Requirements are incomplete and vague

  • Complete this project as quickly as possible with available computer hardware.
