Verification Testing

• The team is working on a process to guide the merging of new req tests (based on the specifications) with existing task tests. Phase 1 will experiment with:
  • preliminary Script shows number of possible permutations for a given task based off info from task XML file
  • theoretically get the minimum number of tests based on parameters with largest number of options
  • apply code knowledge (with help of task developer) to exclude permutations that are not a use-case or possible code path
• Asked Andrew to check failing test_simobserve in casa-pipeline-prerelease-5.6.3-5.el6 (https://open-bamboo.nrao.edu/browse/CASA-RTS4565-ATEL6-4/test/case/36025589)
  • CAS-12496 scheduled for next release, should solve this
