How to Request CASA 3rd Party Packages Changes

CASA JIRA Tickets

If you are able to write tickets in CASA JIRA, create a new ticket.

Use the title "3rd party package: " then either add or upgrade, the package name, and the requested version.

In the ticket description, list

  • The name of the 3rd party package to add or upgrade.
  • A link to the website for the maintainers of the 3rd party package.
  • The version of the 3rd party package requested.
  • The CASA problem adding or upgrading this package will solve.

For an example, see CAS-6158.

Assign this ticket to Jeff Kern. He will evaluate the request and if approved, assign it to be implemented.

NRAO Helpdesk Tickets

If you are not able to write tickets in the CASA JIRA system, create a new ticket in the NRAO Helpdesk system listing

  • The name of the 3rd party package to add or upgrade.
  • A link to the website for the maintainers of the 3rd party package.
  • The version of the 3rd party package requested.
  • The CASA problem adding or upgrading this package will solve.

TODO: describe who is to transfer this data to a CASA JIRA ticket.
