Cycle 4 (and late Cycle 3) datasets reduced in NA that required manual flagging

Below is an analysis of the manual flagging required for all Cycle 4 NA results (since Oct 1, 2016) being recorded in the NA PL review summary spreadsheet , showing whether the new makeFlagTemplates task in analysis_scripts/visibilityOutliers.py would have caught the issue. The row numbers in the table are matched to the row numbers in the spreadsheet.

These results were used to formulate the new stages in the ALMA pipeline for Cycle 5: hifa_bandpassflag and hifa_gfluxscaleflag. (A prior compilation from Cycle 3 data is here: file:///lustre/naasc/sciops/comm/rindebet/pipeline/flaglist.1.html )

DV05 is not the only outlier in the plot below. DA63, DA54, DA46 all have residual bandpass slopes, whereas DV05 has most of its integrations flagged.

This rolloff is seen on all antennas and is simply the normal effect of the anti-aliasing baseband filter, which has a 3dB point at 62.5 MHz from the nominal edge. In this case, the FDM spw (25) is placed within 52 MHz of the edge, so it is a bit closer than normal, probably due to the small vagaries of the online tuning solutions (LO1=348.403 GHz, channel 0 = 344.35 GHz which corresponds to IF=4.053 GHz). This rolloff should calibrated out, as long as the bandpass calibrator is strong enough, so should not in general be flagged.
