VNC Server settings for spider:
  • set as penarray (~penarray/.vnc/xstartup - uses GNOME)
  • vncserver -alwaysshared -geometry 1536x1024
  • optional arguments include -depth 8 and -pixelformat BGR233
  • get port# from startup output
  • on client, do vncviewer spider:port#
  • TWM and KDE startup scripts can be found here: ~cclark/.vnc
  • vncserver -kill :#
