Procedure for switching from Spider to Green

  • check the simulator calendar and verify that no one will be impacted by changing system.conf.
  • ssh green
  • cd /home/sim/etc/config
  • edit system.conf to set MustangHost to "green.gbt.nrao.edu"

Any process that uses system.conf needs to be restarted:
  • Scan Coordinator and Grail use system.con
  • Example:
    1. TaskMaster colossus status | grep Scan
    2. TaskMaster colossus stop #
    3. TaskMaster colossus start #
  • As monctrl, restart Turtle:
    1. ~/bin/RestartSimTurtle
  • Restart Grail on altair and leeloo. Grail is run on these two machines for the sim environment.

Transporter & GPIB Server:
  • On Green, cd /home/sim/exec/i386-linux
  • ./Transporter
  • cd /home/sandboxes/mwhitehe/ygor/drivers/GpibInterface/Gpib_Server/i386-linux
  • ./gpib_server -f greenGpibServer.conf (conf file is in /home/sim/etc/config but you don't need the path)
