  • From calibration data in \\Samba-gb.gb.nrao.edu\doc\gbt\subsys\servo\calibrationdata\subreflectoractuators\completeCalibrations_6_99\x1.
  • Calibration measurement data from HP interferometer is actually 2x measured distance in inches
  • Calculated linear minimum least squares error fit for extending and retracting calibration separately
  • Extending linear calibration is 0.999839 interferometer inches per encoder inch
  • Retracting linear calibration is 0.999805 interferometer inches per encoder inch
  • Over 32 inch stroke the calibration difference is ~ 1 mil.
  • Standard deviation of difference between residuals of extending and retracting calibration is 0.61 mils. Mean of the difference is 0.03 mils.
  • Maximum deviation of linear calibration from measured length is ~ +/- 3 mils. Error: (3) can't find X1Resids.jpg in Main
