ALMA Pointing System Documentation

The following are several documents which describe various aspects of pointing analysis for the ALMA production antennas.

  • "How to Analyse Pointing Measurements": A general description of how to analyze all-sky and offset optical pointing measurements.
  • "The ALMA Pointing System: Theory and Application": A description of the antenna pointing systems, including positioning calculation sequence, metrology operation, receiver band layout, and subreflector correction.
