Comments: Great weather. Got started late due to active surface problems and an "asleep-at-the-switch" observer in the time slot before me. Checked IC342 to compare with previous (2009) measurements. Emission appears to be about the same intensity as in 2009. Made flux cal measurement of 3C286.

Comments: Great weather. Got a little windy (~ 5 m/s) toward the end of the run. Operator dumped snow from surface before start of run. Saw overflow (**) for two of four sections of the spectrometer. Operator called Ron who found that optical driver number 2 was bad. Ron set configurator to reroute around this bad optical driver, which fixed the problem. Note that this problem might have affected measurements of IC342, NGC3079, and M82. Need to check these measurements carefully. Checked IC342 to compare with previous (2009) measurements. Emission appears to be about the same intensity as in 2009. Made flux cal measurement of 3C286.
10A9/2 2010/02/04 ; 6.25 K 0.07 NGC253, NGC6946, NGC598, NGC660, NGC1068, Maffei2, NGC1365
Comments: Great weather. Checked NGC253 to compare with previous (2009) measurements. Emission appears to be about the same intensity as in 2009 (but inconsistent with last-night's measurements). Made flux cal measurement of 3C48.
10A9/1 2010/02/03 ; 14.25 K 0.07 NGC253, NGC1365, NGC660, NGC1068, 3C48 (flux cal), NGC891, Maffei2, IC342, 3C84 (flux cal), NGC2146, M82, M82SW, NGC3079, NGC3628, M83, 3C286 (flux cal), Arp220
Comments: Great weather. Checked NGC253 and IC342 to compare with previous (2009) measurements. Emission weaker by about 50-100%. Made flux cal measurement of 3C48, 3C84, and 3C286. All yield K/Jy about 50-100% lower than in 2009 runs. Later contacted GBT staff noting problem (which Jeremy also saw in a run for a different project immediately after this one). Problem was likely snow/ice on surface. Time marked as lost and given back to our project. These data are garbage. Do not use.
9A13/3 2009/05/18 ; 2.25 K 0.05 IC342, NGC6946
Comments: Great weather. Checked IC342 first since session 1 had problems with RR polarization problems which might have affected observations of this source. Intensities consistent with 2009/03/18 (session 1) measurements.
9A13/2 2009/03/21 ; 3.25 K 0.06 DR21OH (test), NGC6946, NGC891
Comments: Good weather. Monitored state of RR polarization given problems encountered on 2009/03/18. Receiver appeared to be stable throughout the run.
9A13/1 2009/03/18 ; 4.5 K 0.10 W3OH (test), NGC253, IC342
Comments: OK weather. Lost 1 hour due to receiver room heat problem. Pointing checked regulary. After run found that LL polarization of beam 3, about half-way through the run, shows rapid jumps in total power while the other channels remain fine. W3OH spectrometer check measurements show similar line intensities in both RR and LL for all IFs, so problem did not exist at start of run. A problem similar to this was noted by other observers a few weeks ago and someone threw out the possibility that it was RFI, although if that's the case it has some very peculiar properties. Engineering staff (Stennes) have been alerted and will try to check this out during Friday's maintenance.
