Complex A Datasets

Numerous datasets for the low latitude portions of Complex A already exists in the archives. This project is using these existing datasets and new observations to complete a GBT survey of this HVC. Datasets for these new and the accumilated archival datasets can be found within the Complex A DropBox folder.

GBT13B-068 (Barger et al., 2013)

Includes part of core AV and all of cores AVI and B. The observations for the tailing stream has been broken into three parts. For details, please see ComplexAObservingStrategy.

Core B

This is the grey region shown in ComplexAObservingStrategy. This region has been broken up into 130 longitude scans or rows, begining at b=35°. This entire region spans roughly 1/3 of the entire proposed region, consuming 25 hours of exposure time.

Archival Datasets

None in Dropbox yet. David Nidever has the A0 leading stream dataset, already reduced and ready to go. David Nidever also has a copy of the Chynoweth dataset (see yellow highlighted region of Figure 1 in proposal). This region will probably need to be rereduced as their project wasn't searching for emission as faint as our cloud. Jay Lochman has been contacted regarding existing Planck/GBT HI datacubes and is working towards rounding up those datasets up for us (see blue highlighted region of Figure 1 in proposal). This dataset might not have to be rereduced. Portions of the Lochman/Planck and Chynoweth overlap.
