Communications Problems

• When the KFPA Cleo Manager display are all "1 's", the control software is not communicating with the net burner card and needs to be reset.
• To reset the net burner card bring up Cleo -> Observers Tools.. -> Reset.. and click under Receivers KFPA R.
• The manager should be in the off state. Wait `30 Seconds to turn the manager on and check values.

Noise Calibration Tests and Alignment

• To check the noise calibration select MSC Controls in the KFPA Manager.
• Under the Noise Control select MCB. Then turn MCB "ON", the indicator should be green shown as here.
• Go to screen Misc Monitor. The Cal Drain Currents should be reading as approximately 5.0 mA as shown in the Table below.
• If these are not reading 5.0 mA, then the Cal Gate V values need to be adjusted from the MSC Controls screen.
• Typically these are adjusted by one or two digits. The larger the gate value, then lower the current reading.
• Be sure to return the Noise Control to EXT1 for normal operations as shown here.
• If the cals are firing, there should be a random display of drain current, typically ~ 2.0 V as here, but could be different (the samplers are not synchronized with the calibration signal).
