This page describes the KFPA pipeline approach to calibration of the measured and model atmospheric opacity as a function of frequency. The observations of the local weather and the models describing the observations are described on
Ron's weather pages. This page describes some assumptions made when applying these mearsurements to the calibration of the weather by the KPFA pipeline.
The major assumption of the KFPA pipeline processing is use of a vector function of frequency in the calibration processing. We assume the modeling of the atmosphere can be sufficiently determined to produce an frequency dependent model.
