Since the correlator is effectively a compute device, very little email service is required. The only exception is that the system administration notifications need to be sent off cluster so that NRAO system administrators can be duly informed.
Server-1 provides mail service using
which is the RHEL preferred (mildly) daemon. The configuration files for
are located in
. The main one of interest is
is configured to accept mail from hosts on the admin and reject all others.
Redirecting Mail to Root
- Messages sent to firstname.lastname@example.org are redirected to email@example.com. This is accomplised by two configuraiton mods.
- Two lines were added to
virtual_alias_domains = usno.nrao.edu
virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual
- The line
firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com was put into the file
/etc/postfix/virtual to specify the actual email address redirection. This file already existed, although it was unused.
