This is a brainstorming area for projects related to extragalactic polarization studies. At present it is free-form for people to simply add ideas; later we will break up into specific topics.

Two areas of current interest for me are a) using RMs of background sources as probes of cluster magnetic fields, and b) using diffuse polarized emission to detect accretion shocks onto clusters, and further out into the filamentary emission dominated by WHIM. The second project seems naturally to be approached in total intensity, and should be, but there may be severe limits due to confusion that could be circumvented by polarization from shock- or shear-aligned regions.
