Benchmarking Coherent Dedispersion for the EVLA

This page documents benchmarking of coherent dedispersion on various systems as a preliminary step towards implementing real-time coherent dedispersion of phased EVLA data for high-precision pulsar timing.

Test setup and methodology

These tests used the open-source pulsar software DSPSR, to simulate processing of a 16 MHz bandwidth L-band signal from PSR B1937+21 (DM=71) into 16 1-MHz channels.
