VEGAS "Top-Hat" Problem
The problem
Occasionally, VEGAS spectra look like a top hat. It is believed that what is occurring is that only the central 1024 bins of the spectra are being read/recorded, as shown below.
This problem is easily solved, though. If it occurs, the easiest fix is to restart VEGAS.
