Agenda
General Updates
BOF Files
c1500x4096 mode still has many timing errors but Randy is getting some tips from Dave
Randy discovered an error in c1500x1024 mode regarding the alignment between input and out blocks and is working on a fix
We have agreement that Vereese will help but nothing formal has been arranged yet
Software
We had significant discussion about how to handle the BL coherent modes
Currently, the roach on Bank A acts as masters and sends data for processing on the eight VEGAS HPCs
BL will want to expand this so that each current roach controls its own set of eight HPCs
We plan on having the Coordinator take care of communicating to all of the relevant managers, which will run on each HPC
We propose a new naming scheme, where each master bank (the one with a roach) is indexed with 0 and the HPCs it controls are indexed with 1 - 7
For example, when in coherent mode the current Bank A becomes Bank A0 and controls HPC processes on itself and Banks A1 - A7. This would be true for Bank B0 - B7, C0 - C7, etc.
We will need to expand mode definitions as currently the mode section in the vegas.conf file can only designate one bank to act as master
Jason and Randy verified that BOF files have switching signal blocks, so the manager will need to set up the switching signal
