Progress and status of FPGA personalities

Mode 1 (h1k)

[25-Nov.] OK, except for 1/16th band issues. Glenn and Andrew Maartens working on it.

[02-Dec.] No Change

[03-Dec.] h1k_ver105_2013_Dec_02_1551.bof copied over for testing

Mode 2/3 (h16k)

[25-Nov.] OK, except for 1/16th band issues. Glenn and Andrew Maartens working on it.

[02-Dec.] New bof, but still seeing spikes in initial tests. Joe will circulate some plots of spectrum.

Mode 20-29 (l8)

[25-Nov.] Ready to start testing today with standalone systems\ when compile finishes. Will prioritize h1k and h16k fixes where appropriate. [02-Dec.] Believe we have the bofs for these

Mode 10-19 (l8)

[25-Nov.] No FPGA work on this mode if 20-29 is OK [02-Dec.] Believe we have the bofs for these

Mode 4-9 (l1)

[25-Nov.] Ready for Manager testing. Joe will test it out later this week or early next week.

Status of NRAO software

Mode 1

[25-Nov.]

• Original ready to go
• Refactored version lightly tested by Ray, but not released yet. Next week it will be released after a bit more testing.

[02-Dec.]

• Should be ready to test within next two days. Wednesday will be tested with test signals, Thursday with telescope IF system.
• Friday the modes will be released for astronomical testing.
• The IF manager issue needs to be fixed by scheduled Dec 6 test period

Mode 2

• Software is about ready, but not fully tested - should not affect Modes 1-3, and should not be affected by modes 1-3.

Plans for testing this week

• Test time on Wednesday should be used with artificial pulsar and tones
• Test time on Thursday will be with the IF system
• Friday the modes should be released to astronomical testing
