TGBT15A_915_117 - "Before" "astronomical" regression tests

Goals

• Run "before" and "after" regression tests with configurations which match popular observation setups

2017 August 28 - "before" scans

• Get logged in around 7pm
• 7:20pm astroRegress1_lband_HI - fails with an Astrid database error
• 7:20pm scan 1 astroRegress1_lband_HI - didn't get filled; re-submit
• 7:30pm scan 2 - now they have both filled! But source name is not set - add that in.
• 7:35pm - scan3 astroRegress1_lband_HI
• scan 4 astroRegress2_lband_HI - ok
• scan 5 - attempt astroRegress3_cband_RRL - banks will not balance, and then Bank F aborts
• run config with balance only, seems to balance fine, apart from CM16.
• still problems with Bank F - turn manager off and on again
• Scan 8 - astroRegress3_cband_RRL - now ok
• Scan 9 - astroRegress4_xband_RRL
• 8:20pm - switch to KFPA - all sorts of MCB problems
• Scan 10 - astroRegress5_kband_NH3
• 8:32pm runRegressXTP
• Scan 11 / 12 - mode 1
• Scan 67 / 68 - Mode 29

• 10pm switch back to L-band
• runRegressLSP
• Scan 69 - Mode 1

• 10:20pm - Leave running with Donna. In the queue:

2017 August 29 - "After" Scans

• Amanda is on an errand - don't get started until 7:20pm
• SCU is being worked on, and system reports PF boom extended, but really it is retracted
• But can only work at L-band.
• Increment scan number to 200
• And have to take the antenna out of the scan coordinator, since it won't run scans with the turret unlocked.
• 7:25pm Finally get going
• Scan 202 astroRegress1_lband_HI
• Scan 203 atroRegress2_lband_HI
• Scan 204 - start runRegressLTPMainModes - Bank H hangs (was previously in a pulsar mode)
• Scan 205 - Mode 2 (I had an off by one error in my calculations of modes)
• 8:30pm - Scans abort because of Bank H - presumably being unable to balance. Need to remove Bank H from the configuration in future.
• Ray calls - turns out we were running the wrong version of the software! What the heck is going on! Just pack in for the night.
