Goals

  • Constrain the "Sawtooth Problem"

Details

New-new bofs (version 1.12 July 21 .bofs).

  • Scan 1: RRLMode1TP_sawtooth - Nonsensical IF path
  • Scan 2: Mode1 updated. No sawtooth pattern
  • Scan 3: updated Mode2. Sawtooth pattern found in both polarizations
  • Scan 4: Mode1 again. No sawtooth pattern
  • Scan 5: Mode2 again. Sawtooth pattern
  • Scan 6: Mode3. Sawtooth.
  • Scan 7: Mode4. More differenter sawtooth pattern. sinusoidal type pattern.
  • Scan 8: Mode10. Looks fine. Notable signal at 1420.397MHz
  • Scan 9: Mode5. Same pattern as mode4.
  • Scan 10: Mode6. "Sinusoid" -- attributed to the digital filtering (RP)
  • Scan 11: Mode7. slightly smoother "Sinusoid"
  • Scan 12: Mode8. smoother "sinusoid". Noted the two polarizations have slightly different intensities
  • Scan 13: Mode9. Noted that at some time, the BankAMgr samplers have risen to -14.5 dB instead of -20dB. smooth sinusoid. Notable signal near 1.38 GHz, which may explain the increased sampler signal.
  • Scan 14: Mode10. Sampler signal back to -20dB. Spectra still looks OK.
  • Scan 15: Mode15. Found the hat. ~1024 bin wide hat. Conform Parameters in vegas manager
  • Scan 16: Mode15 again. Hat still exists. Restarted manager
  • Scan 17: Mode15 again. Hat is missing.
  • Scan 18: Mode20. Looks fine.
  • Scan 19: Mode2 Test. (testing view on data display, which shows possible ripple patter, though likely just rfi spikes.)k
  • Scan 20: Mode3.

New-old bofs inserted (version 1.10 April 8 H16K bofs).

  • Scan 21: Mode2 Test w/new v1.10 bof. No Sawtooth.
  • Scan 22: Mode3 Test w/new v1.10 bof. No Sawtooth.

New-new bofs re-inserted (version 1.12 July 21 H16K bofs).

  • Scan 23: Mode3 again. Sawtooth.
  • Scan 24: Mode3 with longer scan durations (2 minutes). Sawtooth is there (and more prominent).
  • Scan 25: Mode3 with 2 minute scan durations made of tint=5s. Sawtooth is there.

V1.10 April 8 bofs to be reinserted for Modes 2 and 3.
