Computes the Stefan-Boltzmann formula for luminosity.

Usage:

au.stefanBoltzmannLuminosity(radius, distance, temperature)
Inputs:
  • radius: in arcsec, single value, or a list of 2 FWHM (diameters). Note: No correction for Gaussian beam solid angle is made.
  • distance: in kpc
  • temperature: in K
Returns:
  • luminosity in Lsun

Example:

CASA <3>: tt.stefanBoltzmannLuminosity(0.2, 1.3, 200)
  Out[3]: 4503.453242125975
