  1. Proposal submitted was as follows:
(a) Session Title: ALMA Early Science Proposal Preparation Tutorial
(b) Session Description (max 300 characters):
This session will be a tutorial on the process for applying for Early
Science time with ALMA. It will provide the latest information on ALMA
Early Science observing modes and capabilities and how to create and
submit an observing proposal using the ALMA Observing Tool and
Simulator.
(c) Session Length: Wed: 1730-1845.(1 hr, 15 minutes)

  • Session will cover the following: Update on ALMA and ES capabilities, timeline for users to follow (15 minutes), screenshot demo / walk-through of OT Phase 1, SIMData and Helpdesk (30 minutes) & reserve 30 minutes for hands-on / questions.

  • In terms of staffing: Presentations (need one or two people - Sheth, Schnee?), for hands-on work need a couple others to help users as needed (Leroy, Di Francesco, Kimball, Wootten, Brogan, Schnee, Sheth)
