sensitivityAdjustment
Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions
Implements the equation in the 13/Jul/2016 comment in
CAS-8534, which
determines how much to increase the predicted sensitivity level coming from ia.apparentsens when the effective
bandwidth of an spw channel is not equal to its physical bandwidth.
Usage:
au.sensitivityAdjustment(N=2, nchan=1, spwchan=128, window='hanning')
Inputs:
- N: amount of online channel-averaging (1,2,4,8,16)
- nchan: amount of offline channel-averaging (can be a floating point value)
- spwchan: total number of channels in the spw
- window: window function used by the correlator
Example:
CASA <116>: au.sensitivityAdjustment(2, 356, 960)
Out[116]: 1.2642855868284442
