  2. Invitation for pan-ALMA Science meeting.
  3. ALMA office in Santiago now open at 3650 Apoquindo, 18th floor.
  4. Board meeting was held at the ALMA Camp on the OSF site.
  5. Japan agreement signed 14 Sept, CRE, call for tender for 12m antennas imminent. See SPIE Report on ALMA-J Prototype.
  6. Antenna bids are still undergoing review (contract in Dec. 2004; goal is "...64 antennas... in equal numbers from Europe and North America, and the goal of identical products")
  7. "Re-baselining" of the project early next year
  8. Credland leaving ESO/ALMA; Cornwell leaving NRAO; Jean Turner is Chair and Leonardo Testi Vice Chair of the ASAC; R. Dickman assumes Chairmanship of Board on 2005 Jan 1

The ALMA Calibration Group has concentrated their efforts on the following:

  1. Revision of the ALMA Calibration Plan. These revisions include:
    1. Deriving the "connections" between the various types of calibration that ALMA will be required to perform.
    2. Developing examples of how each type of calibration will be performed.
  2. Discussion of calibration "issues", or unresolved problems that perhaps require additional calculations or measurements. See the "Calibration Issues" group of wiki topics on the Calibration Group wiki listed above for details.
