NAASC must have a clear path of action towards Early Science
The roles of the staff must be clear
The team must work as a whole towards a shared mission
The staff must commit to a higher level of respect and collegiality
Staff should focus on talking with each other rather than about each other
Pull for each other’s success
Develop a Mission Statement
Decide what we want the community to view us as
Expectations for Leaders
Provide a vision and overall priorities
Organize
Make decisions in a timely way
Take ownership of decisions
Keep agreements
Protect team members from NAASC-external pressures
Be realistic about NAASC work commitments
Listen well
Make clear assignments, including critical outcomes
Expectations for Staff
Give feedback
Make explicit agreements
Keep agreements or renege asap
