Usage for mjdToUT

Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions

Converts Modified Julian Date (MJD) to UT and calendar day, using the CASA me and qa tools. If CASA is not available (or use_metool=False), then it uses a built-in formula which agrees with the CASA result. See also lstToUT and mjdSecondsToMJDandUT.

Usage 

au.mjdToUT(mjd, use_metool=True, prec=6)
  • prec: change to 7 to show tenths of seconds, etc.

Example 

CASA <4>: au.mjdToUT(56500.4)
  Out[4]: '2013-07-27 09:36:00 UT'
