Due to unplanned system access issues at JAO in Chile, North American Observers needed to be informed of problems and deadline extension in real-time
There was a delay figuring out how to activate the NEWS item on the helpdesk, so a headline update was posted to the User Portal, also a Knowledge-base article was posted
Need improved handling of plan around real-time notice updated to users: Should each ARC have autonomy, or be in sync?
Who can approve such an update and the content of the message (Estimated time to resolution, extension of deadline, root cause)
Need to do an investigation of what happened to ensure it does not repeat next time; was it load related?
