imstatCube
Return to directory of Todd's tools
This function uses the CASA imstat task to compute the rms and standard deviation
of chunks of a CASA image cube, and plots the result vs. the width of the chunk (in
channel space).
Usage:
tt.imstatCube(img, box, startchan=None, maxwidth=None, minwidth=2,
plotfile='', mJy=True, plotrange=[0,0,0,0], mark11=None)
Inputs:
- img: CASA image cube to analyze
- box: 'x0,y0,x1,y1'
- startchan: center of range of channels to analyze
- minwidth: narrowest group of channels to analyze
- maxwidth: widest group of channels to analyze
- mjy: if True, then scale the statistical values up by 1000 (from Jy/beam to mJy/beam)
