imageObservatory

Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions

Attempt to infer the observatory name for an image, based on the header. See also imageAntennaDiameter and imagePrimaryBeam.

Usage: 

au.imageObservatory(img, header='')
Inputs:
  • header: dictionary created by imhead(mode='list'), if blank, then this task will be run

Example: 

CASA <15>: au.imageObservatory('calibrated_NGC_1068.ms_spw2_imagesub.tclean.mask')
  Out[15]: 'ALMA'
