Usage of getvisdensity

Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions

Returns the average density of visibility points for the specified ms, in units of per square meter

Usage: 

au.getvisdensity(vis='', innerFraction=1.0, verbose=True):
If innerFraction is specified to be less than 1.0 (default), then the calculation is performed only over the fraction of the data starting from the innermost uv points.

Example: 

CASA <5>: au.getvisdensity('sma_345model1_12m.alma_cycle1_1.ms')
  UVrange: 15.059 to 165.641 m (computed over 100% of the data)
  Density = 0.284312 visibilities per square meter
  Out[5]: 0.28431229038937439
