Usage of getObservationStartDateFromASDM

Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions

Read the start time of the observation from the ExecBlock.xml file of and ASDM and reports it in date + UT time and MJD seconds. See also getObservationStartDate. To call this function on a list of ASDMs, see getObservationStartDateFromASDMs.

Usage:

  au.getObservationStartDateFromASDM(asdm)

Example:

CASA <2>: au.getObservationStartDateFromASDM('uid___A002_X5ba4da_X407')
  Out[2]: '2013-01-28 08:08:21 UT'
