Usage of getObservationStartDate

Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions

Read the start time of the observation from a measurement set and reports it in date and UT time. See also getObservationStart, getObservationStopDate and getObservationStartDateFromASDM.

Usage: 

  au.getObservationStartDate(vis, obsid=0)

Example: 

CASA <2>: au.getObservationStartDate('uid___A002_X5bf173_X91.ms')
  Out[2]: '2013-01-31 07:36:01 UT'
