Terebey, H. Calcutt, J. K. Jorgensen, J. D. Green, T. L. Bourke Abstract: unambiguous signatures of infall, probed by optically thick molecular lines, toward an isolated embedded protostar, BHR71 IRS1. Modeling indicates that a slowly rotating infalling envelope model following the \inside-out" collapse reproduces the observations. The ALMA observations serendipitously discover the emission of complex organic molecules (COMs) concentrated within a radius of 100 au, indicating that BHR 71 IRS1 harbors a hot corino. Eight species of COMs are identified, The emission of methyl formate and 13C-methanol shows a clear velocity gradient within a radius of 50 au, hinting at an unresolved Keplerian rotating disk. Galaxies undetected in the continuum with ALMA are found to be over-luminous in [CII], when the UV SFR is used. The xCOLD GASS CO, molecular gas and cold gas mass functions and Omega_H2 measurements provide constraints for models of galaxy evolution and help to anchor blind ALMA and NOEMA surveys attempting to determine the abundance of molecular gas at high redshifts. ▽ More MNRAS Ey Not ALMA (IRAM30m)

Takami Abstract: …are often surrounded by massive envelopes, which replenish the disk material and enable the disk to produce accretion outbursts. We observed the FUor-type star V346 Nor with ALMA at 1.3~mm continuum and in different CO rotational lines. We mapped the density and velocity structure of its envelope and analyzed the results using channel maps, position-velocity… ▽ More published in "Origins: From the Protosun to the First Steps of Life. Both theoretical and observational efforts are underway to determine the dominant driving mode of turbulence in different Galactic environments. New observations with ALMA, combined with other instruments such as CARMA, JCMT and the SMA begin to reveal the magnetic field structure of dense cores and protostellar disks, showing highly complex field ge… ▽ More invited review for IAU Symposium S345 (Origins: From the Protosun to the First Steps of Life) Other: Oz

Clarke Abstract: Annular structures in proto-planetary discs, such as gaps and rings, are now ubiquitously found by high-resolution ALMA observations. Under the hypothesis that they are opened by planets, in this paper we investigate how the minimum planet mass needed to open a gap varies across different stellar host masses and distances from the star. as a result of the fact that discs around low mass stars are geometrically thicker: gap opening around low mass stars can require more massive planets.
