countChannelsInRanges

Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions

Counts the number of channels in one spw of a CASA channel selection string and return a list of numbers. To operate on multiple spws, see also countChannels.

Usage:

au.countChannelsInRanges(channels, separator=';')

Inputs:

• channels: a selection string

Example:

CASA <3>: au.countChannelsInRanges('5~20;30~40;100~109')
  Out[3]: [16, 11, 10]
