computeMeanSeparation

Compute the mean separation of a set of points.

Usage: 

tt.computeMeanSeparation(P, skyCoordinates=False)
  • skyCoordinates: if True, then treat the x,y values as RA,Dec (in radians)

Example: 

CASA <2>: tt.computeMeanSeparation([[0,0],[1,1],[4,4]])
  Out[2]: 3.771236166328253
