channelAverageChannels

Return to directory of Todd's CASA extensions

Computes the list of channels used by ALMA for the channel-averaged spw, whose bandwidth is 89% (e.g. 1781.25 MHz in 2 GHz TDM mode) of the nominal bandwidth.

Usage:

au.channelAverageChannels(channels)
Inputs:
  • channels: the number of channels in an spw
Returns:
  • a list of the central 89% of channels used

Example:

CASA <7>: au.channelAverageChannels(128)
