CartridgeDataDelivery

Documents Status

NEW FEND-40.09.03.00-032-A-DSN "Cartridge Data Formats for Delivery to the Front End Integration Centers" replaces the two previous documents (linked below).
  • The various Cartridge Acceptance Test Plan documents specify the actual test data to be delivered, whereas this document dictates only the format and procedures for delivering the data.

I still am working towards a FEIC Database User Software design document which will show how some of the burden of maintaining the key relationships amongst cartridge sub-assemblies and test data can be taken over by the database itself.

NOTES
  • Phase Drift:
    • For Band 9 #1, phase drift data was provided as phase vs. time.
    • For Band 9 #2, phase drift looks closer to what's expected. See the new document linked above for clarifications.
  • Beam Pattern:
    • For Band 3 #3, the beam pattern data gives copol. The Cross-Polarized file gives only XPol power. Does this point to a redundancy in the data format or does it make sense to have both types of data files?
    • For Band 6 #1, the beam pattern data seems to be incomplete. Only roughly 1/4 of the pattern is visible.
    • For Band 9 #1, pattern data was given as normalized between zero and one.
  • Cross-Polarized Beam Pattern:
    • The new document linked above clarifies how XPOL pattern and XPOL total should be provided.

Older links:

  • CartDataSamplesExamples gives sample cartridge data and the transactions which occur when new or updated data is delivered.

  • Following up on the 2005-05-17 teleconference, MorganMcLeod has been working on database designs for the cartridge operating parameters and the cartridge test data. The data in these databases are to be delivered simultaneous with each cartridge to the FEIC.

  • AccessToMySQL gives information and instructions on setting up MySQL and on moving data from MS Access into MySQL.
