1. New Business--Project news/updates (Wootten, Wilson, Kawabe)
   • (L-R Roberto Rivera, Juan Bravo, Angel Otarola, Alison Stirling) We were greatly saddened to learn of the death of Roberto Rivera in an automobile accident near San Pedro on September 1. Roberto came to ALMA in 2001 and had worked under contract with the site characterization team, along with many colleagues investigating the Chajnantor site, impressing many of us and our colleagues with his drive, his talent and dedication and his conviviality. We will all miss him dearly and send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
2. JAO Project Scientist Turno
3. An agreement for collaboration concerning the construction of the enhanced ALMA between Academia Sinica in Taiwan and National Institute of Natural Sciences (Japan) was signed. Contribution form Taiwan to ALMA-J project is under discussion; ASIAA is however already posting people for the CIPT.

1. Science IPT -
   • Rebaselining Options: The ALMA budget was rebaselined and materials sent to the ALMA Board by the JAO on schedule on 2005 September 8.
   • New Charges to ASAC
   • ALMA Cost Review: The ALMA Board and its committees now enter an intense period of review of the rebaselined budget materials. The rebaselined budget will be the subject of a cost review 13-16 October to be held in Garmisch, Germany before a panel of twenty esternal reviewers chaired by Steve Beckwith and Thijs de Graauw.

3. Nutator Science Requirements. Finalized the Nutator almaedm requirements.
4. RFMembrane Science Requirements are being developed.
5. ASAC news--Meeting 1-2 October 2005 in Santiago.

• System Requirmenets Review: Report of panel submitted. Periodic reviews being arranged by Murowinski.

Conway, Holdaway -- Configuration Group

• New Configuration submitted for approval Wootten to present to ASAC, Board.
• Proposed ACA Configuration for comment

Jeff Mangum -- Calibration

• Calibration Group telecon 2005-09-15 "Calibration Examples" discussed. Assignments have been made. See the Calibration Examples Wiki for details.
• Group continues to refine Calibration Plan.
• Calibration Specs and Reqs currently under review.
• Relative amplitude calibration device recommendation submitted to FE IPT. Companion relative amplitude calibration device recommendation from Science IPT also submitted.
• Jack Welch has written a nice summary description of the Berkeley absolute amplitude calibration system.

Robert Lucas -- SSR

• Release R3 (Oct 1st) being prepared by the developers
• Following software integration (2 weeks in Garching and 2 weeks in Socorro, with developers travelling there)
• Subsystems leads meetings in Charlottesville in November
• SSR meeting during Sept (2005-09-14)
• Face to Face Meeting in Charlottesville next fall (2005-11-20/21)

Michiel Hogerheijde -- DRSP

• There still are two new DRSP projects under consideration: one is being revised and a second one is being reviewed. New projects are welcome at any time! Bally and Williams will work on one centering on proplyds.
