VertexRSI Pedestal Assembly at OSF The first production antenna is being assembled at the OSF Technical Facility! See other images and animations.

  1. Ongoing Items

Topics

  • OSF, ATF Support. The first, VxRSI, antenna in Chile now is in advanced stages of assembly. Soon we will have our opportunity to greet this first ALMA production antenna and to begin its evaluation. Beginning mid-August until mid-September, the NA antenna `I'PT will need our support leading to handover of the antenna to AIV. This will involve holography and OPT testing of the antenna. Discuss.
  • ATF CRE (below). After the transition date the Science IPT should "co-own" the ATF along with the CIPT. One leader will be designated who can speak authoritatively for the Science IPT and manage priorities with CIPT, providing support to people on occasional trips to the ATF to provide feedback on the installed software. Manpower ('cost') estimates:
    • CIPT Liason (until) 6/1/08 A single person - coordinate with Shepherd, travel occasionally to the ATF, obtain feedback from SciIPT members, etc.
    • Tester x2 25% one 2 week trip every other month, a variety of people (points of view) would probably be helpful. That is, the 25% would be spread over several people.
    • Data support 20% Reduce data produced at ATF, assume it takes a day a week. Again, spread over several people. Important CASA/Commissioning feedback.
  • Active CREs
    • Wed, 02 May 2007 15:17:36 -0400 Forum: CRE - Change Requests
